Ill be your guide in this second course in the Maya 2019 Fundamentals series as you learn the importance of UVs, materials, and textures in a Maya production pipeline.

In this course, well pick up right where you left off with Justin in the modeling of your drone asset from the first course in this series.

Our first focus will be to introduce you to the concept of UVs and their importance to assets that utilize painted texture maps.

From there, well begin progressing through a number of important topics while UVing our asset including projection mapping, cutting, sewing and stitching, overlapping UVs, and the final layout of our UVs.

Next, well shift our attention to defining the surface qualities of each piece of our drone using materials.
